Founding History
Hi, my name is Trung Le, founder of Bay Area College Consulting. My career began in 2004 as a university lecturer in philosophy at San Jose State University. I find myself mentoring students with their personal lives and academic careers ever since my first year teaching. As I was tutoring one of my students, Thomas, in 2008 while teaching at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, advised me that I was good at what I was doing and if I ever considered starting a college consulting business. That year, I established Academic-Services.com, later rebranded and renamed to Bay Area College Consulting.
Over these past 11 years, I have advised clients in the Bay Area Area and also throughout the world including Canada, and the Middle-East. Working one-on-one with clients at my office in Cupertino and also online, I have helped them to build up their resumes, including leadership backgrounds by creating clubs, businesses, publications, and even non-profits, in preparation for the college application process. Eighty-six percent (86%) of my clients during 2015-2016 application seasons were admitted into the top 25 programs in the nation respective to their majors.
Contact me today to schedule a free assessment of your child’s background, and together, I will help your child with high school planning, resume building, and assist with the college application process.
The Problem with Today’s College Admission Process
More students are applying to college than ever before, and that means competition is fierce, even at some public universities such as the University of California. Students must craft a competitive application to beat the odds of getting into the best colleges and universities, and they should do so early rather than waiting until their senior year. Devoted students are busy with their course requirements, extra-curricular involvement, test preparation, and personal life. Parents are busy with their careers, taking care of their younger children, driving their children to and from school, cooking dinner, and paying bills. This makes it difficult for parents to help out with the college admission process for their high school junior or senior. Furthermore, the college admission process can be confusing, hectic, and stressful. What is the best college option for my child? What application should be used? What is expected on the college admission personal statement? When should students take the SAT? What do competitive colleges expect from the ideal applicant? How much does a college education cost these days?
As a college counselor, I help to navigate and streamline the admission process, therefore reducing your stress, headaches, concerns, and even thousands of dollars in the long-term.
